SFS Alumni, Ivan Germano, accepted into the Masters Program at Columbia University

Sydney Film School alumni, Ivan Germano has just been accepted to study a Masters of Creative Producing at Columbia University in New York City.
Germano, who graduated from Sydney Film School in July 2015, has been accepted to begin study this September at Columbia University School of Arts, which is considered to be one of the best film schools in the world. The Ivy League college has an impressive list of alumni including Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow,  Lisa Cholodenko and James Mangold, as well as members of past and present staff including James Schamus , Milos Forman and Mira Nair.
Germano chose to apply to Columbia as he wanted to build on what he learnt at Sydney Film School.  He chose Columbia as the school to continue his study at as it appealed to him because of it's reputation as having one of the best Masters programs in the world and it's open nature towards international students. The course is three years in duration, with the third year being primarily for thesis and half of the second year being undertaken as an internship at a production or distribution company.
Ivan Germano has opened a crowdfunding campaigning to help him raise enough money to cover both tuition and living expenses in New York City for the duration of the three years. If you would like to find out more or donate, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/ivangermano
