Last semester we had great pleasure to welcome a celebrated Australian film director, writer, and producer, Bruce Beresford (Mao's Last Dancer) as our special Key Note Speaker. The Key Note Speaker for our 12th Festival is Ray Lawrence, director of some of the most critically acclaimed works in Australian cinema - Bliss (1985); Lantana (2001); Jindabyne (2006). He will be addressing the audience during the second festival night, on Wednesday July 14 @ 6.30pm prior to the final screening and awards ceremony. To RSVP for this session please email ikeller@sydneyfilmschool.com
On the second day, July 14 from 4-5.30pm festival will also present the discussion Panel ‘The One Thing All New Filmmakers Must Know: Distribution’. The panel will aim to enlighten you on how to get your films to an audience (festivals, online, etc) and get your film career going. The experienced industry players including short Film Festival Organisers and Rachel Okine from Hopscotch Films, the Australian distributor of Fahrenheit 9/11 and Mao’s Last Dancer, will offer some practical tips and advice. Your questions are very much welcome.
Be a part of our festival and participate in discovering up and coming talent! Event is free and open to all!
