The degree focuses on the interlinking of digital media with the core media of film and promotes experimentation within the film form and narrative structure. The MFDI can be undertaken either full time or part time.
The MFDI utilises the existing facilities within Sydney College of the Arts and the Faculty of Arts for the teaching of the studio practice and film studies subjects. Graduates of the MFDI find employment in all aspects of the film industry and its adjacent art practice and criticism areas.
